I'm big on honesty so rather than something cheesy and self promoting, I'll open with some things that you need to know before deciding to date me. When people first meet me they usually think I'm very serious because I tend to be a bit reserved until I get to know you. People who don't know me often think I don't show my emotions. I don't play head games, I think small talk is pointless and I tell the truth when someone asks "How are you?". I have felt the pain of being cheated on first hand so I know for a fact that I will always be faithful to my partner. I don't have a lot of them but I believe in quality over quantity. The friends I do have are real and last a lifetime. Everyone, women and men included, are attracted at first to the game players, handsome bad boys or sexy naughty girls because, lets face it, they seem exciting, fun, and adveturous and they create that sexual tension or attraction to draw us in. Then later on in the relationship we find those bad boy or naughty girl qualities are not so great. We want it in the beginning and then we want them to change for a normal relationship.
I have read a lot of the womenâ??s profiles and there are a few common themes that keep popping up. Women say they donâ??t want any game players. Some women mention they talk to guys and then the guys donâ??t want to meet and they ditch them. I also have noticed women mention some men sending rude crude messages. And finally, women seem to get avalanched by messages, even average women.
At our age, just about everyone have had negative experiences in dating and relationships. There are different types of guys. Guys that drop you or won't meet, some are sensitive, lonely, and want to talk to women, but too afraid to get hurt so as soon as things start to get to the point that they might have to meet, they cut it off. Others do it because they have self confidence or self esteem issues. Or maybe they just figured out you don't match....No chemistry for him.
The game player type of guy is the non-sensitive type. He is able to have physical relationships with women, but is able to keep his emotions detached, so he doesnâ??t get hurt. These guys are the ones that are game players and just want sex. To give an example, I know a guy who was married 10 years and has two children, was a faithful husband and nice guy. He just got divorced and before the divorce was even final he was out dating and having sex with 5 different women and bragging about it.
A lot of men are like this, because men are taught from birth to be tough and donâ??t show emotion. By the time they are adults they have learned how to detach from their emotions and not let themselves feel anything. They don't let themselves feel emotion and consequently, don't feel empathy for women they hurt.
So, I guess the question is, what typ of guy am I and why should you waste your time starting a conversation with an average Joe like me?
Well I am a different type of guy, one that is optimistic, I donâ??t take things personally and I am not afraid to let down my guard and let people in. I trust myself, making it easier for me to trust others. And I don't worry about being hurt. I guess I like people and I understand many reasons why they react the way they do.
I communicate and show my emotions. I am honest with people out of respect and caring. The truth sometimes is hard and hurts, but lies hurt more, and they hurt the liar as well as the person lied too.

I hate introductions. They tend to be self-involved, and I don't like people to think that I am that way. I may talk about myself every once in awhile, but I would be much more interested in hearing about you and other people. But, since the basics are a must in this situation, I will give you a run down.

I am 23 years old and live in the small town I was raised in Minnesota. I used to go to a community college but discovered I couldn't afford it. I now work as a video clerk and photo lab tech at a large grocery chain until I figure out what I really want to do, which is a toss-up right now between working with children, or photography. Also, despite my obvious stature and whatever okcupid questions I have answered that say otherwise, I absolutely love camping and all that goes with it. Hiking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming.... all that. Not any of that sissy stuff like staying in a five-star resort or in a camper with a kitchen and a shower. I like to get grungy and gross! Bring it on, I say. I must admit my faults though... I did not really go camping as a child. And I didn't learn how to kayak or canoe until I went to one of my favorite places in the world, Star Lake Camp. I was a camper there for 8 years, worked there one summer, and have been volunteering ever since. I will be going back up there this summer to lead a photography camp I helped create. It's a rough and tumble rustic camp, and any person I should ever happen to get involved with must love Star Lake as much as I do. Dealbreaker. Don't worry though, it is an easy place to love. =)

In the winter I start my car 45 minutes before I leave.

I am very independent and a bit of a free spirit. I live with a menagerie of pets and the best kiddo in the world. I have been singing in a band for the last 3 years which is mostly used as an outlet for me. Nothing like the feeling of singing your guts out. I highly recommend it, even if your not much of a singer, who cares!
