Big Island Rendezvous and Festival


Award winning & largest early America & fur-trade "living history" reenactment. Over 1000 participants, 250 tents, colonial cuisine includes funnel cakes, buffalo, pork/cheese topped baked potatoes, smoked turkey legs, kettle korn, homemade root beer; entertainment includes Atwater-Donnelly from New England, Whistlepigs, Elpout Stringers,Wild Goose Chase Cloggers and Scottish Dancers; colonial crafts for sale: woodworking, pottery, clothing, blacksmithing, fiber arts, jewelry, candles, art
Directions to Event From north or south use Interstate 35 and go west on Interstate 90 to exit 157. Take that exit south (about 2 miles) to the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. You park there and take the FREE SHUTTLE to the festival. Shuttle runs continuously. $10 for adults and $6 for children 6-11 years of age. Children 5 years and younger are free. A Family Pass can be purchased for $25 at the gate. Advance tickets: call toll free 1-800-658-2526. Adult tickets are $8 in advance and children tickets are $5.
